MPN Launches PAF Live with Downloadable Software
Microgaming, the award winning Technology Company and largest provider of online gaming software, is delighted to announce that Paf, the Aland-based operator, recently went live with the Microgaming Poker Network’s (MPN) new downloadable Mac OS software.
The new client is totally compatible with Mac operating systems due to the fact that it runs in the Adobe Air framework and functions in the same way as the Microgaming Poker Network’s “instant play” client. This gives users the opportunity to participate in all Hold’em cash games, Sit ‘n Go and scheduled tournaments and also have the numerous added benefits of a downloadable client.
Head of Poker at Paf, Herbert Paradis, revealed that they are thrilled to be the first Microgaming Poker Network operator to have gone live with the Mac compatible download software. Paradis added that they are aware of the fact that their players who own Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for quite awhile and they are extremely happy that they will be able to meet their customers’ needs in a better way now that they have joined the Microgaming Poker Network.
Other software platforms that have been designed by Microgaming in order to cater for all player devices include a downloadable PC client, a web-based Flash client and an innovative HTML5 client for mobile and tablet devices.
According to Lydia Melton, the Head of Network Games at Microgaming, operators have been turning away Mac users, who are a valuable segment, as they have not had dedicated software. Melton added that there are only a few networks besides the Microgaming Poker Network that offer a Mac-specific client and that they are eagerly waiting to see the uptake from players.
