Contract Signed Between Poker Stars and New Jersey Resort
Poker Stars, one of the leading online poker rooms, is eagerly anticipating entering the New Jersey gambling market after recently signing a contract with Atlantic City based Resorts Casino Club to provide the casino club with online games and poker software.
Poker Stars is owned by the Isle of Man based Rational Group and the deal with the Resorts Casino Club will allow Poker Stars to re-enter the United States legally through New Jersey which passed legislation this year that should see online gaming up and running by the end of November, 2013. Poker Stars is hoping that this will also open the doors for them to enter other states due to the fact that New Jersey forms compacts that could see it becoming the center for internet gambling in the country.
The contract signed between Poker Stars and Resorts Casino Club is subject to approval of the New Jersey gambling authorities. Atlantic City casinos have been ordered by the New Jersey gambling authorities to submit the names of software companies which they intend partnering with prior to the introduction of internet gambling.
The Chief Executive Officer of Poker Stars, Mark Scheinberg, said that he is thrilled that they have succeeded in finding a perfect partner and are looking forward to launching Poker Stars in the US together with the other quality brands that Resorts Casino Club has brought to Atlantic City.`
