New Jersey Based Golden Nugget Receive Approval For Online Casino Launch
Since the official launch of online gambling in New Jersey at the end of November, land based casinos have started to make a move into the virtual world. New Jersey is the third state to permit casinos and online gambling operations with the recent rollout of as many as 13 websites. The websites are run by online gaming companies with experience in operating sites inside and outside the USA. Every site partners with one of the six land based casinos in a bid to boost the ailing casino industry in the state. The privatized system allows companies to compete against one another and attract customers.
Golden Nugget promises a good start
Golden Nugget Atlantic City is the latest to receive approval to launch its online gambling service in New Jersey. The casino reveals that its website will feature a variety of games from well known gaming specialists such as Bally Technologies, Amaya Gaming, SHFL Entertainment, and the Nevada-based International Game Technology (IGT). Golden Nugget also claims to offer the highest number of online titles in the state with over 77 online slots, table games, and video poker. In addition to traditional slots games, the casino says it is all set to offer games that are not yet on the casino floor.
A feature-packed online casino
In a bid to attract a large number of online gamblers, Golden Nugget is set to offer a number of casino banking methods for both deposits and for players to withdraw winnings. In addition to credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and checks, the casino will offer a special Golden Nugget Prepaid card where cardholders can transfer funds to and from their casino account instantly. The card can also be used to make non-casino related purchases via the Discover network. Players can also fund their accounts through a smartphone, tablet, or in person at their land-based casino. Instant cash outs, and casino and poker mobile applications for iOS and Android devices are among the other major offerings. The casino’s sources also confirmed the launch of GoldenNuggetPoker.com in January.
Mike Azzaro inspires online grinders
While legal online poker is barely four weeks old in New Jersey, Mike Azzaro has already taken the state by storm. Playing under the name of ‘MikeyCasino’, the poker pro from Yonkers, N.Y. was the last man standing at the first two Sunday Majors at NJ.partypoker.com. This $50,000 guaranteed weekly tournament with a $200 buy-in has already attracted over 250 players in the first two weeks. Azzaro is said to have given a serious thought about setting up a place in New Jersey to play online full time.
